Empire Racing, LLC and Warriors In The Workplace brought their one-of-a-kind ride-along truck to the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Monday, Feb. 11, as part of their joint project, Restore-Recover-Renew Tour to Daytona.

The tour visited the VA Medical Center during National Salute to Veteran Patients Week, Feb. 11-15.  This is a week, each year, where communities pay tribute and express appreciation to Veterans through special events designed to increase awareness of the role of Veteran issues and services provided at the VA medical center.

The tour features Empire Racing’s driver Sean Corr and the one of a kind ride along truck, making stops at several VA Hospitals and military installations as the NY based team makes its way south to Daytona, Fl.  Unlike the typical ride along vehicle or show truck, Empire Racing’s Ride Along Truck offers a handicap accessible seat.  The seat is custom crafted to allow ambulatory and non-ambulatory service members and Veterans an opportunity for a once in a lifetime ride along experience in a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race vehicle.

Empire Racing will be joined on the Restore-Recover-Renew Tour by Military1. Military1.com is a free online resource whose mission is to provide active military personnel with critical information and resources, to help save lives, and increase national security. They offer a trusted and reliable environment for active military, veterans, and military families to find support and guidance in every aspect of their lives.

Warriors In The Workplace’s badge will grace the hood of Empire Racing’s #82 Ford Daytona race entries. The mission of this nonprofit Veterans hiring initiative is to help restore, empower and renew hope for Veterans as they look to transition from a military career to a rewarding and sustaining career within the civilian sector.
