Optometry Clinic Grand Opening
VA/DOD to open Charleston’s first joint clinic
CHARLESTON, S.C.—The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, in conjunction with Joint Base Charleston and Naval Health Clinic Charleston, announce today it will open Charleston’s first joint clinic between the U.S. Navy, U.S Air Force and the VA as part of a joint initiative fund between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. The clinic will offer optometry and audiology services and will be staffed by five full-time VA employees. Veterans and DoD dependents and retirees will be seen at the clinic to help alleviate overload at all facilities.
The grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at the clinic located at Joint Base Charleston-Weapons Station in Building 746, which is located outside the gated base.
