Charleston VAMC is hosting the American Red Cross for a blood drive on January 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. This cherished partnership between the two agencies is special because the American Red Cross is the only agency Charleston VAMC taps when units of blood are needed to help treat Lowcountry Veterans. For more than a quarter-century, the American Red Cross has been there when Charleston VAMC needed blood. Now, our partner needs our help.

The American Red Cross needs donors to help restore units that were used during Hurricane Matthew. All blood types are needed and donors need to pass three qualifications to donate:
1. Donor must be 17 or older.
2. Donor must feel healthy and well that day.
3. Donor must not have provided a donation within 56 days (8 weeks).

You can make a difference and possibly save a life by donating blood this year. Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center is having a blood drive on Jan. 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Join us for a blood drive in the Main Auditorium of Charleston VA on January 12, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
