H1N1 Update
Call the VA flu hotline (843) 789-6900 for more information.
Charleston VAMC is now offering H1N1 vaccinations to all enrolled Veterans. Next time you are in the medical center or one of our community based outpatient clinics, ask your provider for the shot. Or, if you are in the area, just stop by and get your shot without an appointment. (Note: You will need an appointment to get vaccinated at our Beaufort clinic).
Veterans may also contact the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control at (843) 553-0090 to schedule an appointment there for H1N1 vaccination. If you have been vaccinated for either H1N1 or seasonal flu outside of the VA, please inform your provider so your record can be updated.
For the Safety of our Veterans
Visitors who are ill or under the age of 16 should not visit the medical center while flu is active in our community. Thank you for helping us protect the ones who protect our country.
New Grand Strand to Charleston Shuttle
Coast RTA is offering a Grand Strand to Charleston connector shuttle. The shuttle will be available Thursdays and Saturdays. For more information, contact Coast RTA at (843) 488-0865 x221.
